Peter Plomp holds a PhD degree in biochemistry at the University of Amsterdam. He started in 1988 at Gist-brocades as fermentation scientist and soon developed himself in project management roles of innovation projects in the field of bakery products (yeast, enzymes, bread improvers). After the acquisition of Gist-brocades by DSM he became Director R&D of the Business Group Bakery Ingredients. In 2005 he joined the Business Group Food Specialties (DFS) as head of the R&D project management organization and was responsible for the research program of the business unit Enzymes within DFS until 2012. He then became responsible for the project management team of the Pharma Cluster of DSM before joining a large global change project in DSM R&D in 2015. He is the BIOFOREVER coordinator since January 1st, 2018.
